Tell us Your Story

Our Education wants to feature you and your story.  This is your chance to tell everyone what it was like to go to school where you live.  If you'd like to write for the magazine, contact Our Education's editor-in-chief. Otherwise, use the fields below to tell us a brief story about your school experiences, and you may be quoted on our what students are saying page!

Need some ideas to get you thinking about what stories to tell?  Here are some things we’d be interested to hear about.  Remember, these are just ideas, and there is no right or wrong answer.  If you have any questions, email us.

  • What were your classrooms, textbooks, school library, auditorium, bathrooms, hallways, lockers, and cafeteria like?
  • What kind of support did you and your classmates get from teachers, guidance counselors, and principals?
  • Was there a time when you and your classmates were upset about a problem in your school (maybe having to do with the classes offered, extracurricular programs, or some other school policy) that you felt should have have been fixed?
  • Do you have a success story to share about when students and adults worked together to fix some problem in your school?

Remember:  Think Positively!  While it is important to identify the problems in our schools, its even more important to be constructive and offer reasonable solutions for how to make things better.  So if your school has serious problems that affect students, try to offer some suggestions for how things could be improved.
